The Shediac / Cap-Pele Atom A are heading to the Cumberland County tournament this weekend…

The Shediac / Cap-Pele Atom A blogs were put on hold for a while because this reporter was sent to Florida to replace the team reporter of the Tampa Bay Lightning. After a week in the big league, I am now back in the minors.

In the past week, Shediac /Cap-Pele have had 2 league games and have shown that they will be a team to be taken seriously. They over powered the Sackville Rangers by a score of 8 to 0 and then faced the Dieppe Aigles for a much tougher battle.  This game kept the almost sold out crowd on the edge of their seats until the end of the game. Edging the Aigles by a score of 4 to 3, the Shediac /Cap-Pele are still undefeated in league play.

The Shediac / Cap-Pele boys and girl are heading to Cumberland County to face teams they have not yet played. The scouting report on these teams is limited, but as per assistant coach, Troy Boudreau, who stated in the sporting section of the “Monitor”:  “The game plan is simple… We need to work hard to win every battle in our defensive zone and constantly keep fore checking in the offensive zone. The rest will fall in to place.”

Good luck to our Shediac / Cap-Pele Atom A this weekend and also do not forget to vote for our new association name.
